Microsoft® ERP™

Microsoft® Dynamics™ GP

A potent ERP system that offers small and mid-sized organizations financial and operational functionality, such as advanced consolidation, robust business intelligence, rich reporting, insightful forecasting, and easy-to-use budgeting. Because Microsoft® Dynamics™ GP is scalable it can provide a platform to sustain your business as it grows and changes.

Microsoft® SQL Server® Database

Microsoft® Dynamics™ GP utilizes a Microsoft® SQL Server® backend for its database, which allows for enterprise-level security, advanced maintenance and backup plans, and transaction roll-back functionality, ensuring you complete data integrity.

Microsoft® Dynamics™ GP leverages Microsoft® SQL Server’s® built-in report writer, SQL Reporting Services® (SRS) by providing over 90 SRS reports out-of-the-box, as well as 13 pre-defined SRS templates.

Robust Reporting

In addition to SRS reporting, Microsoft® Dynamics™ GP includes over 1500 Microsoft® Dynamics™ GP reports and comes integrated with Microsoft’s® FRx® Report Writer. Crystal Reports® is also available for use with Microsoft® Dynamics™ GP.

Microsoft® Office SharePoint Server® Integration

Microsoft® Dynamics™ GP fully integrates with Microsoft® Office SharePoint Server® 2007 to offer powerful workflow, search, collaboration, document management, portal, and business intelligence capabilities.

Workflow

Microsoft® Dynamics™ GP takes full advantage of SharePoint’s powerful workflow engine to provide user-defined, multi-layered approval processes with customizable rules. Approvals can be performed inside Microsoft® Dynamics™ GP or outside of the system by non-GP users via Outlook or SharePoint.

Search

Using Windows Vista®-like search functionality, users can quickly locate structured and unstructured data. Structured data is that contained within Microsoft® Dynamics™ GP, such as sales orders, payables invoices, purchase orders, etc.

Unstructured data is information stored in Microsoft® Office applications, such as Outlook, Excel, Word, any SharePoint site, and any other location a user chooses to index. What this provides to users is the ability to make critical business decisions on more than just the data contained within their financial management application.

Business Portal

Microsoft® Dynamics™ GP incorporates SharePoint to create the Business Portal. Using the Business Portal, organizations can create intranets that contain useful information, such as internal company announcements, as well as client or vendor-facing extranets that allow authorized partners access to controlled areas within one’s business data.

In addition, users can create unlimited sub-sites for collaboration purposes, as well as utilize document libraries that not only allow storage of documents, but also provide substantial document management capabilities like check-in/check-out and versioning features.

Business Intelligence

Because the Business Portal is directly connected to the Microsoft® Dynamics™ GP database, crucial business information can be retrieved from virtually any area within Microsoft® Dynamics™ GP and served up via the Business Portal to provide potent business intelligence capabilities. User-defined Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) can be created to display information in a myriad of interactive tables, graphs, charts, or pivot tables that allow users to drill further into the details directly from the Business Portal.

Microsoft® Dynamics™ CRM Integration

The ability to view company financial data is critical to more than just the accounting department these days. Information regarding quotes, orders, invoices, and field service tickets is of utmost importance to today’s users of customer relationship management (CRM) applications, such as Microsoft® Dynamics™ CRM. Real-time integration between Microsoft® Dynamics™ GP and Microsoft® Dynamics™ CRM is available that allows for the following integration options:

• Customer Information. Both Microsoft® Dynamics™ CRM Accounts and Microsoft® Dynamics™ CRM Contacts can be integrated to Microsoft® Dynamics™ GP as customers reducing the amount of duplicate data entry.

• Order Information. Create orders in Microsoft® Dynamics™ CRM and allow them to flow seamlessly to Microsoft® Dynamics™ GP. Status updates, shipping notes, and other important information entered in Microsoft® Dynamics™ GP can then be pushed to Microsoft® Dynamics™ CRM for complete visibility by the sales team.

• Invoice Information. As invoices are generated in Microsoft® Dynamics™ GP, values and payment status pass easily to Microsoft® Dynamics™ CRM to allow the sales and marketing teams to have complete visibility into a customer’s status.

• Product & Price List Information. Allow Microsoft® Dynamics™ GP to master your product, prices, and discount information by integrating it in real-time to Microsoft® Dynamics™ CRM.

• Field Service Integration. Microsoft® Dynamics™ CRM Service Case integration to the Field Service module of Microsoft® Dynamics™ GP.
