This year at Insight’s 2009 ISM partnered with Sage to unveil the new web services that will be a part of Sage’s MAS 90 4.4 release.Ā This release is slated for Q1 2010.Ā In “The Road Ahead” session ISM demonstrated the power of the prototype for Sales Order web service by processing an order through a web site powered by ASPDotNetStoreFront and posting that order into MAS 90 Sales Order Entry in real time during the live presentation.
Sage annouced in the session that they are developing web services related to AR Customers and Contacts, Sales Order and Credit Card processing.Ā This would allow for the integration of third-party shopping cart packages, and potentially other applications, without cumbersome API’s or program modifications to the MAS 90 ERP system.Ā
Some simple examples of what the proposed web services can do would be:
- Create new AR Customer accounts from a web customer account
- Create new AR Customer Contact Records
This is just a few of the examples of what is possible with these upcoming offerings.Ā ISM will continue to work with Sage as the prototypes are developed for the pending release of MAS 90 version 4.4.Ā ISM is already working on how these services can be used to expand its eStylez product line up of web based solutions for MAS 90 and MAS 200.
